Lockheed Martin gets $300M Javelin missile deal

SEATTLE — Defense contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. received a contract worth about $309 million for work on the Army and Marine Corps’ Javelin antitank missile program.

The contract with U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is for the fiscal 2009 Javelin hardware production requirement.

The work is to be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and Orlando, Fla., by Oct. 2012.
