Tropicana AC and dealers reach tentative deal
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A tentative deal has been reached for the first union contract ever for Atlantic City casino dealers.
The United Auto Workers and Tropicana Casino and Resort reached the deal Wednesday, a company spokesman told The Press of Atlantic City.
The Tropicana is one of four resort casinos where dealers agreed in 2007 to be represented by the union.
It’s the first to reach a contract.
Spokeswoman Mary Tindall says ratification would continue through Thursday.
The company has not released terms of the deal and a union spokeswoman did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press on Thursday.
