The fertilizer maker’s board rejected mining giant BHP Billiton’s hostile $38.5 billion takeover offer amid speculation of bids from other companies.
Hewlett-Packard Co., down 81 cents at $39.04
The company made a higher bid for 3Par Inc. after rival Dell Inc.’s offer, raising questions about its direction after the ousting of CEO Mark Hurd.
