3Par Inc., up $6.43 at $32.46
Hewlett-Packard Co. boosted its offer for the data storage copmany, raising the stakes in a bidding war with rival Dell Inc.
Netezza Corp., up $4.95 at $19.87
Shares of the data storage company hit a record high after it raised its outlook for the year on increasing demand.
J. Crew Group Inc., down $2.39 at $31.04
The retailer posted a disappointing outlook, and analysts say it faces tough competition and frugal shoppers in the second half of the year.
Gannett Co., up 33 cents at $12.51
The publisher’s USA Today newspapr is ramping up efforts on mobile devices and will cut about 130 jobs this fall.
Tiffany & Co., down $1.33 at $40.71 The jewelry retailer’s quarterly profit grew and it raised its earnings guidance, but revenue fell short of analyst estimates.

Intel Corp., up 19 cents at $18.37
The stock careened from a 52-week low to end higher after the chip maker cut its sales forecast for the quarter.
SunPower Corp., up $1.19 at $11.22
Two analysts upgraded the stock, saying shares of the solar energy company were undervalued after a long slump.
ImmunoGen Inc., down $3.23 at $5.16
Federal regulators declined to accept an application for accelerated approval for the drug maker’s potential breast cancer treatment.
