Weyerhaeuser names new executives in timberlands, wood products and real estate divisions

Weyerhaeuser timberlands executive retires
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Lumber and wood products maker Weyerhaeuser Co. said Wednesday that the senior vice president of its timberlands business has retired.
The company also said it elected new executives to its timberlands, wood products and real estate divisions.
Weyerhaeuser said James M. Branson retired as senior vice president of timberlands on Oct. 1.
On Sept. 30, the company elected Thomas F. Gideon as executive vice president of timberlands, effective Oct. 1. He joined Weyerhaeuser in 1978 and was most recently executive vice president of forest products.
The company also said it elected Lawrence B. Burrows as senior vice president of wood products, and Peter M. Orser as president of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Co., a subsidiary.
Shares of Weyerhaeuser slipped 14 cents to $15.99 in midday trading.
