Advanced Micro Devices names Nicholas M. Donofrio to board of directors

AMD names Nicholas M. Donofrio to board

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Chip maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said Tuesday it has named Nicholas M. Donofrio, 64, to the its board of directors.

Donofrio spent 44 years at IBM Corp. before retiring in 2008.

AMD’s shares closed up 19 cents at $6.62.
