Product Recalls: blenders
The following recall has been announced:
— About 53,800 blenders, made in China and imported by Haier America Trading LLC, of New York, because the product’s blade assemblies may come apart or break, posing a laceration risk. Haier America has received about 60 reports of blade assemblies coming apart or breaking. One consumer reported a minor cut to his hand. The recall involves 500-watt blenders with model number HB500BSS. They were sold at retail stores nationwide from November 2006 through October 2009.
