Medical-coding company to add 300 jobs in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah company that processes health-insurance claims plans to hire another 300 workers.

South Jordan-based MediConnect Global says it will also spend $470,000 to expand its Utah facilities.

In return, Gov. Gary Herbert’s economic-development board agreed to award the company tax incentives worth $1.75 million over 10 years.

MediConnect CEO Amy Rees Anderson says most of the new jobs will be added at the company’s operations in Ephraim, Utah.
