Pacer CEO Michael Uremovich to retire effective Tuesday, COO Avramovich named as replacement

Pacer CEO to retire, COO tapped as replacement
CONCORD, Calif. — Freight logistics company Pacer International Inc. said Tuesday its chairman and CEO, Michael E. Uremovich, is retiring and will be replaced by Chief Operating Officer Daniel W. Avramovich.
The change is effective as of close of business on Tuesday.
Avramovich served as Pacer’s COO for less than six months. He joined the company in June of 2008.
Uremovich has been chairman and CEO since November of 2006. He joined Pacer in 2003 after serving as a consultant to the company for several years.
Pacer shares rose 5 cents in midday trading to reach $3.26.
