Northrop Grumman gets Saudi Guard contract
HERNDON, Va. — Northrop Grumman has been awarded a contract worth up to $550 million for training and other services for the Saudi Arabian National Guard.
The contract, awarded through the U.S. Army, will be carried out by a Northrop subsidiary, Vinnell Arabia LLC. Training will include U.S. Army doctrine and logistics support.
The company earlier this month said it would move its corporate office from Los Angeles to the Washington, D.C., area to be closer to key government customers.
The company said it expects to make the move by 2011.
Shares of Northrop Grumman fell $1.08, or 1.8 percent, to $57.86 Wednesday.
