La-Z-Boy names 2 directors

MONROE, Mich. — La-Z-Boy Inc. has named two new directors to replace two board members who are retiring in August.

Joining the board will be Janet Gurwitch, 57, founder of Laura Mercier cosmetics and head of Gurwitch Consulting Group LLC, and Edwin J. Holman, 63, chairman of The Pantry, the company said Wednesday.

They replace Rocque E. Lipford, 71, and Jack L. Thompson, 70.

The board will temporarily increase to 13 members until Lipford and Thompson leave.

Shares fell 5 cents to $11.37.
