Church & Dwight gets FDA OK for new pregnancy test
PRINCETON, N.J. — Consumer products maker Church & Dwight Co. said Wednesday it received U.S. regulatory approval for a new pregnancy test.
The company claims its new First Response test can detect pregnancy up to six days before a woman misses her period — one day earlier than other tests on the market.
The test measures pregnancy hormones found in a woman’s urine after an egg has been fertilized. The technology in the new First Response test can detect those hormones at lower levels than older tests.
