FirstEnergy names Charles Jones president of FirstEnergy Utilities

FirstEnergy names new FirstEnergy Utilities leader
AKRON, Ohio — FirstEnergy on Wednesday named Charles Jones the senior vice president and president of FirstEnergy Utilities, effective April 1.
Jones, 54, succeeds Richard Grigg, 61, who will retire on March 31 after nearly 40 years in the electric and gas industry.
Jones will be responsible for energy delivery, customer service, compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission transmission requirements, and energy efficiency activities. He will be in charge of FirstEnergy’s seven regulated electric utility operating companies in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Jones joined FirstEnergy in 1978. He is currently senior vice president of Energy Delivery and Customer Service.
