NASB delays filing report with SEC
GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Regional bank operator NASB Financial Inc. said Friday that it will delay filing its financial report for the fourth quarter with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said it expects to file the report by April 19.
NASB Financial, the holding company for North American Savings Bank, said it needs more time to complete the report because it has to complete an evaluation of its investment in real estate development ventures, which may have lost value.
The company noted it owns a 50 percent stake in an entity formed to develop land for residential real estate, and that sales of lots haven’t met previous expectations because of the economic downturn.
NASB Financial filed a Form 12b-25 with the SEC on Feb. 10 to report the delay in the filing of its quarterly report.
Shares of NASB Financial rose 7 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $20.75 in trading Friday.
