BigBand Networks names new Ravi Narula as CFO

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — BigBand Networks Inc. said it has named Ravi Narula as its new chief financial officer, effective May 1.

Narula succeeds Moe Castonguay, who is leaving the company to move to the East Coast.

Narula joined BigBand in 2005 and is currently vice president of finance and worldwide controller.

The move follows Thursday’s announcement that David Heard, chief operating officer, and Sean Rooney, senior vice president of worldwide sales, have resigned.

BigBand shares rose 7 cents, or 2.4 percent, to close at $2.98 Friday.
