Honeywell International wins Shell contract to standardize Shell operations

Honeywell wins 5-year Shell contract
PHOENIX — Manufacturing conglomerate Honeywell International said Monday that it has signed a five-year deal with Shell to standardize its worldwide facilities with automated technology designed to improve plant reliability, efficiency and safety.
Terms were not disclosed.
The contract is part of Shell’s strategy to maximize production while lowering costs.
Honeywell has worked on hundreds of Shell projects for more than 30 years. It is currently working on Shell’s new gas to liquid plant in Qatar, Canadian oil sands and the expansion of the refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
Honeywell shares fell 27 cents to $41.64 in trading Monday afternoon. Shell shares rose 12 cents to $57.18
