Tidewater promotes Executive VP Jeffrey Platt to chief operations officer

Tidewater promotes new COO
NEW ORLEANS — Oil tanker operator Tidewater Inc. said Wednesday that Jeffrey M. Platt, its executive vice president, has been promoted to chief operations officer.
Platt will be responsible for overseeing the company’s marine and shipyard operations in the United States and abroad.
Platt joined Tidewater in 1996 as general manager of Tidewater’s business activities in Brazil.
Tidewater also said Wednesday it promoted Matthew A. Mancheski, currently senior director of strategic planning and financial analysis, to vice president, chief information officer and chief strategic planning officer.
Shares rose 66 cents to $47.96 in afternoon trading.
