Tesoro names ConocoPhillips exec Greg Goff CEO
SAN ANTONIO — Independent refinery Tesoro named Greg Goff, former senior vice president of ConocoPhillips, as its chief executive.
The company said Goff, 53, would replace Bruce Smith as president and CEO. Smith will continue as chairman of the board until the company’s annual meeting on June 4, at which time he plans to retire after 18 years with the company. Lead director Steven Grapstein will take the role as non-executive chairman.
Goff, who takes the helm on May 1, has worked for ConocoPhillips since 1981. Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing commodity trading.
