Immersion names board member permanent CEO
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Immersion Corp., a company that develops touch-sensing technology, said Wednesday that board member and interim CEO Victor Viegas has been named permanent chief executive.
He succeeds Clent Richardson, who resigned in October.
It is a second turn as Immersion’s top executive for Viegas. He joined the company in 1999 and served as CEO from October 2002 through April 2008.
Immersion shares rose 15 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $5.97 in afternoon trading.
