Lowe’s, Universal Health, Pactiv among big movers
NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

GLG Partners Inc., up $1.45 at $4.36
British hedge fund Man Group PLC will buy the asset manager for $1.6 billion in cash and stock.
Lowe’s Cos., down 81 cents at $25.26
The home improvement retailer’s quarterly net income rose, but its annual guidance fell short of analyst expectations.
Universal Health Service Inc., up $3.10 at $42.14
The hospital operator will buy psychiatric facility company Psychiatric Solutions for about $2 billion.
Pactiv Corp., up $4.47 at $28.44
A report in The Wall Street Journal said private equity firm Apollo Global Management was in talks to acquire the Hefty trash bag maker.
Massey Energy Co., down $3.71 at $33.29
Federal prosecutors said last week they were investigating whether the coal miner engaged in criminal activity.
VirnetX Holding Corp., down 2 cents at $6.11
The communications company and software giant Microsoft Corp. settled two patent infringement cases, with Microsoft paying VirnetX $200 million.

OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc., down $2.45 at $57.35
Japanese drugmaker Astellas Pharma Inc. raised its bid for the cancer drug company to $57.50 a share, or $4 billion, from $52 a share.
InfoLogix Inc., up $4.07 at $10.72
Samsung Electronics’ wireless unit in North America will work with the mobile services provider on delivering mobile managed services.
