Ambac Financial Group Inc., down 34 cents to $1.12
The bond insurer said its net loss widened because of changes in how it accounted for credit derivatives and other insurance policies.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc., up 98 cents at $53.71
Net income rose 10 percent during the world’s largest retailer’s first quarter, but it said customer volume was dropping in U.S. stores.
Visa Inc., down $4.62 at $70.09
Shares of the credit card company continued to decline after the Senate approved tighter restrictions on debit card fees late Thursday.
Beazer Homes USA Inc., up 26 cents at $5.50
A Citi analyst upgraded the homebuilder, and billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson bought a stake in the company.
Forest Laboratories Inc., up $1.48 at $27.67
The drugmaker approved a new buyback program for up to 50 million shares of its common stock, effective immediately.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co., down $2.40 at $38.38
The teen clothing retailer narrowed its quarterly loss, but made less money on some sales and posted higher expenses.
DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc., down $2.14 at $34.13
An analyst downgraded the movie studio, saying he expects its “Shrek 4″ movie to bring in less money after a disappointing opening weekend.

Sina Corp., up $2.72 at $37.57
The Chinese Internet portal said its quarterly profit rose 150 percent because of stronger advertising revenue.
