Recalls: children’s tiaras, garlic spread
The following recalls have been announced:
—About 7,300 children’s tiaras, made in China and imported by Wilton Industries Inc. of Woodridge, Ill., because the item contains high levels of lead, which is dangerous for young children. No incidents or injuries have been reported. This recall involves the Wilton Youth Tiara with a SKU number of 120-228. Party City, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Ben Franklin stores, Amazon.com and other retailers sold the item nationwide from June 2009 through April 2010. Details: by phone at 800-593-7866; by web at www.cpsc.gov/.
—Pure Base Distribution LLC is recalling its 4-ounce bottles of “Pure Base Garlic Spread-Concentrate” and 7-ounce bottles of “Pure Base Garlic Spread-Ready to Spread” items, because they may contain undeclared milk and wheat. The company said people who have allergies to milk or wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There have been no reported incidents involving people. The items were distributed nationwide in online and traditional retail stores.
