Data firm names new CEO
CINCINNATI — Consumer data-mining company DunnhumbyUSA has a new CEO.
Stuart Aitken moves up from chief operating officer, succeeding CEO Simon Hay. DunnhumbyUSA said Tuesday that Hay returned to London to take on broader responsibilities.
The joint venture of British company Dunnhumby and the Kroger Co. is credited with helping grocery chain Kroger target customers with coupons, pricing and store features appealing to specific households and markets.
Other clients include Macy’s Inc., Coca-Cola Co. and Procter & Gamble Co.
DunnhumbyUSA plans to add 150 employees to its 350 U.S. workers. It is based in Cincinnati.
Aitken is a former executive of arts and crafts retailer Michael’s Stores Inc. and grocer Safeway Inc.
