Airbus gets 11-plane order from Aeroflot
FARNBOROUGH, England — Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has ordered 11 A330-300 aircraft from Airbus — worth $1.7 billion at list prices.
The deal announced at the Farnborough International Airshow on Monday follows orders for other Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft from Emirates airline and newly created leasing company Air Lease Corp. — raising hopes the aviation market is improving after a two-year downturn.
Aeroflot was the first Airbus customer and operator in Russia. Airbus currently has more than 1,000 orders for the A330.
