Female Health expects 3rd-quarter loss on lower sales of female condoms

CHICAGO — Female condom maker Female Health said Friday before the market opened that it expects a third-quarter loss because shipping issues have curtailed sales.

The company said the shipping issues were related to substantial orders.

The company expects to report third-quarter results on Aug. 6.

Shares of Female Health Co. fell 33 cents, or 6.3 percent, to $4.90 in premarket trading.
