The French-U.S. telecommunications equipment supplier said its net loss in the second quarter was wider than expected.
MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., down $1.70 at $9.56
The maker of computer chip wafers and solar cell silicon posted weak quarterly results and expects to miss its full-year forecast.
American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc., up 21 cents at $9.31
American Axle turned to a second-quarter profit and its revenue more than doubled on a resurgence of the auto industry.
Arch Coal Inc., up $1.19 at $23.69
The miner reversed losses from a year ago, beating Wall Street’s expectations on the strength of global markets and a jump in sales.
Pactiv Corp., down $1.12 at $30.42
The maker of Hefty garbage bags and packaging material said its second-quarter income fell but it still beat expectations.
BorgWarner Inc., up $1.38 at $43.86
The auto parts maker raised its outlook for the year after posting a quarterly profit, driven by demand for its powertrain products.

Coinstar Inc., down $2.59 at $45.50
The operator of coin-counting machines and Redbox DVD rental kiosks said its second-quarter profit rose as revenue grew.
Thoratec Corp., down $5.76 at $36.78
The heart device maker issued full-year forecasts mostly below expectations as it expects seasonal softness in the third quarter.
