Former BMO finance chief named to Ameritrade board

OMAHA, Neb. — TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. on Monday said it named Karen Maidment, the former chief financial officer of BMO Financial Group, to its board.

Maidment served as BMO’s finance chief from 2007 to 2009. She was previously on the boards of Clarica Life Insurance Co., Harris Bank, BMO Nesbitt Burns and the Bank of Montreal Pension Fund, and currently serves on the board of TransAlta.

She is the only woman among the online brokerage’s 12 board members.

According to regulatory filings, non-employee directors for TD Ameritrade received $80,000 plus $130,000 in restricted stock units in 2009.
