WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) — Koch Industries have come up to the limelight not because it is one of the largest American Oil industry, but because of its poor environmental records. Koch Industries deal in petroleum, natural gas, paper, and all sorts of other resource-depleting industries generating a revenue of around $100 billion. Over the time these industries have spread their chain and remain one of the largest privately held conglomerates in the world.

The two brothers behind this huge foundation are Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch and the co-owners are believed to be among the richest people in United States with great focus on corporate interests. But, do focus on business means gaining the profit at the cost of human lives. Recently, Greenpeace has released a report called “Koch Industries: Secretly Funding the Climate Denial Machine” that exposes their heinous effort of funding nearly $50million climate-denial front groups that are working to delay policies and regulations aimed at stopping global warming.

The money from the Koch brothers has gone into disavowing the science behind climate change. The news of their aloofness got more strength when The University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s Political Economy Research Institute has named Koch Industries one of the top ten air polluters in the United States. The Koch Industries allegation on environmental violation has raised many question regarding the companies moral ethics and values. It’s time that people should be aware of the issue, which can cost human lives.
