KVH Industries closes $6.5 million acquisition of Virtek Communication AS

KVH Industries completes $6.5M Virtek buyout

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. — KVH Industries Inc. said Friday it has completed its acquisition of software company Virtek Communication AS for $6.5 million in cash as a complement to its satellite communication services.

The buyout was first announced on Sept. 8.

Virtek, based in Norway, provides software used by commercial fleets and vessel owners.

Shares of KVH Industries fell 16 cents to close at $12.37 Friday.
