Ennis declares 15.5 cent quarterly cash dividend

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas — Ennis Inc. on Monday said its board approved a quarterly cash dividend of 15.5 cents per share of common stock.

The label, business forms and apparel maker said the dividend will be paid Nov. 1 to shareholders of record on Oct. 11.

Earlier Monday, the Midlothian, Texas, company reported higher second-quarter net income as clothing sales improved.

Shares rose $1.17, or 7 percent, to $17.87 in afternoon trading.
