EnerSys chief financial officer retires

READING, Pa. — Industrial battery maker EnerSys Inc. said its chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance, Michael Philion, has elected to retire from the company.

On Tuesday the company said Philion’s retirement was effective Monday.

In the meantime, Michael Schmidtlein, EnerSys’ vice president and corporate controller, will serve as CFO while an internal and external search is conducted, the company said.
