Emeritus says ex-Fisher Communications CFO Bateman will succeed co-founder Brandstrom as CFO

Emeritus names Bateman CFO, replacing Brandstrom
SEATTLE — Assisted-living services provider Emeritus Corp. on Thursday hired Robert Bateman as its next chief financial officer, replacing co-founder Raymond Brandstrom.
Emeritus said Bateman will become CFO effective Dec. 21. He has previously held the same role for companies including Fisher Communications Inc. and Applied Microsystems Corp.
Brandstrom, 56, will become an adviser and vice chairman of Emeritus’ board. He is a former president and chief operating officer of Emeritus, and became CFO in March 2000. He has been on the board since 1993.
Shares closed down 8 cents at $16.24.
