East Carolina’s Holtz says he’s not job hunting
GREENVILLE, N.C. — East Carolina coach Skip Holtz says he hasn’t spoken with any other schools about coaching jobs.
Holtz’s Pirates beat No. 18 Houston 38-32 to win a second straight Conference USA championship Saturday. The Pirates’ recent success has made the fifth-year coach a common name mentioned when coaching jobs open every year, including last year when Syracuse made a push to hire him.
Holtz said Saturday his focus is on what he has to do to keep the East Carolina program moving forward. He declined to comment about any specific coaching vacancies.
