Texans-Rams game to be blacked out in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams failed to sell out their second straight home game, meaning Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans will not be televised locally.
The Rams did not ask the NFL for a 24-hour extension, executive vice president of football operations Kevin Demoff said Thursday. About 8,000 tickets remained for the game as of Thursday.
CBS owns the broadcast rights to the game.
St. Louis also failed to sell out Nov. 29 against the Seahawks and will have trouble avoiding a local television blackout for the season finale Jan. 3 against the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams are 0-6 at home and 1-12 overall this season.
