Horizon Air flight attendants ratify contract
SEATTLE — A new two-year contract between Horizon Air, a unit of Alaska Air Group Inc., and its flight attendants that includes a pay raise of at least 3 percent has been ratified.
Seventy-eight percent of participants voted in favor, the airline and union said in a statement Monday.
The contract, which covers 584 flight attendants, takes effect Jan. 17 and is amendable in December 2011. The previous contract became amendable on Nov. 21, 2007.
The contract offers flight attendants at least a 3 percent pay increase over the life of the contract. Flight attendants also will now participate in the same performance-based incentive plan as the airline’s dispatch and management employees.
Alaska Air Group, which is based in Seattle, also operates Alaska Airlines.
