Survivors toast Miracle on the Hudson a year later

NEW YORK — Survivors of the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing have toasted their luck at the spot where the plane went down a year ago.

They took a ferry out on the Hudson River on Friday where the crippled jet created a scene of terror and heroism.

They raised their glasses at 3:31 p.m., the moment of impact.

About 48 passengers on the North Carolina-bound flight were joined on the water by the boat crews that rescued them.

Capt. Chesley Sullenberger says he and the other survivors have “so much to be grateful for.”
