Triumph Group buys a helicopter parts maker
WAYNE, Pa. — Triumph Group Inc. said it has bought Fabritech Inc., which repairs and makes parts for military helicopters.
Triumph, which makes aircraft parts, said late Monday that the business will operate as Triumph Fabrications-St. Louis and be part of its Triumph Aftermarket Services Group.
The new company is expected to add $25 million in revenue for fiscal 2011 and will immediately add to profits. Other financial terms were not disclosed.
Fabritech is based in East Alton, Ill., and has a location in Orangeburg, S.C. It employs 55 people.
Triumph Group shares rose 42 cents to $53.82 in midday trading.
