Renasant Corp. nominates Jill Deer to corporate, bank boards

TUPELO, Miss. — Financial services holding company Renasant Corp. said Friday it has nominated real estate executive Jill Deer to its corporate and bank boards.
Deer is a principal of Bayer Properties LLC, a developer and manager of commercial real estate based in Birmingham, Ala.
She joined the company 1999 as executive officer and general counsel. She also serves on Renasant Bank of Alabama’s state board.
Renasant Corp., the parent of Renasant Bank and Renasant Insurance, operates more than 60 banking, mortgage, financial services and insurance offices in Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
Its shares rose 44 cents, or 2.8 percent, to close at $16.18 Friday. They have traded between $7.80 and $16.66 in the past year.
