Equity One buys Florida shopping center
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Real estate investment trust Equity One Inc. said Monday that it bought a shopping center in Plantation, Fla.
Terms of the acquisition of the nearly 45,000-square foot Veranda Shoppes weren’t disclosed nor was the seller. A company official declined to comment on the deal.
The shopping center is fully leased. Its tenants include a Publix grocery store, Dunkin Donuts and Pei Wei, an Asian restaurant chain.
Equity One is based in North Miami Beach, Fla. It owns or has interests in more than 182 properties.
Its shares slid 17 cents to $18.14 in afternoon trading.
