Liberty Media 1st-quarter revenue increases in all 3 business segments

Liberty Media revenue increases in 1Q
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Entertainment company Liberty Media Corp. said Friday revenue rose at all three of its business units in the first quarter, with TV shopping channel QVC emerging from the recession in a strong position.
Liberty Interactive, which includes shopping networks and online assets, saw revenue grow 11 percent to $2 billion, boosted by higher revenue at QVC.
Liberty Starz Group, which owns Starz Entertainment, saw revenue grow 3 percent to $307 million.
Revenue rose 33 percent to $166 million for Liberty Capital Group, which owns the Atlanta Braves and has stakes in Sprint Nextel Corp. and Time Warner Inc.
