Southwest Airlines to fly to South Carolina
DALLAS — Southwest Airlines says it plans to begin flights to South Carolina next year.
The low-cost carrier said Tuesday it will serve Charleston and Greenville-Spartanburg.
The airline says it will release details such as start dates, destinations and fares later.
Southwest says the service doesn’t hinge on pending legislation to provide subsidies for airline service to the state.
