Alterra Capital declares special dividend of $2.50
NEW YORK — Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd. on Friday declared a special dividend of $2.50.
The Bermuda-based specialty insurance and reinsurance provider said the dividend is payable June 16, to shareholders of record as of June 2.
Alterra was formed earlier this year by the combination of Max Capital Group Ltd. and Harbor Point Ltd.
In late morning trading, shares of Alterra dropped 91 cents, or 4.1 percent, to $21.07.
