Sikorsky Aerospace Services buys LifePort

SHELTON, Conn. — Sikorsky Aerospace Services, a unit of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., said Thursday that it bought aircraft accessories maker LifePort Inc., which will become its new accessories business unit.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Privately owned LifePort will keep its executive team, Sikorsky Aerospace said. The company, which had about $65 million in revenue last year, is based in Woodland, Wash., and also has operations in Georgetown and Plano, Texas.

Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of diversified manufacturer United Technologies Corp.
