Boeing, Motorola, Halliburton among big movers

NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Boeing Co., up $1.28 at $63.18

Boeing and its arch rival Airbus announced new orders worth almost $18 billion at the start of the Farnborough International Airshow.

Motorola Inc., up 42 cents at $7.92

The long-planned breakup of Motorola came a step closer with a deal to sell most of its wireless networks division.

Hasbro Inc., down 15 cents at $39.35

The toy maker’s second-quarter profit rose 11 percent as falling spending outpaced the drop in sales of Transformers and G.I. Joe toys.

Halliburton Co., up $1.66 at $29.17

The Houston petroleum services company reported an 83-percent surge in second-quarter profits, beating Wall Street expectations.

BP PLC, down $1.35 at $35.75

Investors worried about a seep in the busted oil well, while BP said the cost of dealing with the spill has reached nearly $4 billion.

Delta Air Lines Inc., down 34 cents at $11.38

The world’s largest airline said it is getting rid of some planes and doesn’t expect to grow much in 2011.

ATC Technology Corp., up $6.77 at $24.20

ATC Technology agreed to be acquired by privately held Genco Distribution System Inc. for $512.6 million in cash.

Yahoo Inc., up 20 cents at $15.10

An analyst upgraded Yahoo Inc.’s stock from “Hold” to “Buy” and said the company’s fundamentals and online ads are improving.
