Williams Partners gets OK for pipeline project
TULSA, Okla. — Williams Partners LP said Monday the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved plans for a $36-million expansion of its Transco natural gas pipeline in the Southeast.
Construction is set to start in August and finish by May 2011. New service from the Mobile Bay South II Expansion project would be available next May.
The Transco pipeline runs 10,000 miles system and transports natural gas to markets throughout the Northeast and Southeast. The current system capacity is about 8.6 billion cubic feet per day.
The company’s stock rose 51 cents to $46.85 in afternoon trading.
