Western Digital names CFO Tim Leyden as COO, finance VP Wolfgang Nickl as CFO

Western Digital names CFO as new COO

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Hard drive maker Western Digital Corp. said Tuesday that it has named Tim Leyden, its chief financial officer, as its chief operating officer.

Wolfgang Nickl will become chief financial officer and a senior vice president, the company said.

Leyden has spent more than 20 years at Western Digital, most recently as executive vice president as well as CFO.

Nickl will move out of the position of vice president of finance.

Western Digital shares rose 2 cents to $24.19 in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading down 61 cents at $24.17.
