Belo names Angela Betasso vice president of sales

DALLAS — TV station owner Belo Corp. has named Angela Betasso as vice president of sales.

The company said in a news release Wednesday that Betasso, 46, will begin the job Oct. 18.

Betasso has worked for the company for nine years and was previously vice president of sales for WFAA-TV, the company’s ABC station in Dallas/Fort Worth.

She also worked for Viacom for two years as local sales manager, and was previously vice president and general manager with Seltel, a media representation firm later bought by Katz Communications.

Belo shares rose a penny to $5.63 in afternoon trading Wednesday.
