Lennar Corp., up $1.15 at $15.14
The homebuilder returned to profitability in its fiscal third quarter as home deliveries climbed and construction costs declined.
L-1 Identity Solutions Inc., up $1.94 at $11.64
French defense company Safran will pay $1.1 billion for most of the security IT firm, and Britain’s BAE Systems is also acquiring a unit.
Netezza Corp., up $3.67 at $28.27
Tech giant IBM Corp. plans to pay $1.7 billion to acquire the data storage and analysis company.
Office Depot Inc., up 41 cents at $4.43
A Janney analyst said that the office supplies retailer’s remodeled stores and stronger balance sheet should benefit the company.
Owens Corning Inc., down $1.05 at $23.71
The building materials supplier said demand for roofing supplies was weak, and it would not meet the higher end of a previous forecast.
Discover Financial Services, up 59 cents at $16.16
The credit card company said customers spent more with their cards and got better at making payments.
McMoRan Exploration Co., up $1.39 at $15.96
The oil and natural gas company agreed to buy shallow water shelf assets of Plains Exploration & Production Co. for about $818 million.
