LEGENDARY STAKE: Chinese studio Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment (Holdings) Ltd. has bought a 3.3 percent, $25 million stake in Legendary Pictures, which has a long relationship with Warner Bros. and cofinanced such films as “Clash of the Titans” and “Inception.”
CHINESE FILMS: The companies will jointly develop Chinese-language films and video games. Orange Sky can appoint one of six directors on Legendary’s board.
BRIGHT SKY: Orange Sky is the product of Chinese businessman Wu Kebo’s 2007 takeover of Hong Kong studio Golden Harvest, which counted Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and John Woo among its roster. It also runs multiplexes.
