Bradley Sheares elected to Henry Schein board

MELVILLE, N.Y. — Medical and dental device maker Henry Schein Inc. said Monday that Bradley Sheares has been elected to its board.

Sheares, 53, served as chief executive of Reliant Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2007 before it was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline PLC, and before that was president of U.S. Human Health at Merck & Co.

Sheares also serves as a director of Honeywell International Inc., The Progressive Corp., IMS Health Inc. and Covance Inc.

Henry Schein shares rose 27 cents to $54.84 in afternoon trading Monday.
